How to complete your enrolment at UC Sheffield

It's almost time to start your university-level qualification and we're so excited to welcome you to UC Sheffield!

Now that you've got your exam results and confirmed your choices, the last step of the journey is to enrol. Enrolment is where we check all of your details, put in place any extra support measures you might need and issue you with that all-important student ID! So what exactly does enrolment involve?

Step 1 - Complete your pre-enrolment

Whether you're a new or returning student, you'll need to complete a few pre-enrolment questions online via our application portal, Prospect. This is to ensure we have the correct details for you on our records.

If you have any issues we can finish these off with you at your enrolment appointment

Step 2 - Attend your on-campus enrolment appointment

Our Admissions Team should have already been in touch with you about attending your on-campus enrolment appointment*. This is where we check all of your details (including your exam results), double check you're enrolling on the course you want to study, and get you registered on our system so we can print your student ID card!

Don't forget to pick up your UC Sheffield goodie bag too!

*Please let the Admissions Team know as soon as possible if you're unable to attend your allocated appointment time.

Step 3 - Have a look at your induction week timetable

You'll be given a card at your enrolment appointment with a QR code you can scan to view your timetable for induction week - this will help you figure out when your first official day as a UC Sheffield student is!

Step 4 - Start enjoying your student discounts

Once you've got your UC Sheffield email set up and your ID card in hand, you can sign up for loads of student discounts, including the NUS Totutum scheme which give you access to hundreds of student deals and discounts!

What to bring to your enrolment appointment

Don't forget to bring:

  • Some ID (e.g. passport, drivers licence)
  • Proof of any relevant exam results
  • Evidence to back up any student support claims (e.g. proof of any benefits you may be claiming)
  • Method of payment (where applicable)
