3 reasons our Open Day should be your next step if you missed the UCAS deadline
If going to university is on your 2026 bingo card but you missed the UCAS application deadline, you can still get your plans back on track.
Here’s three reasons to visit our UC Sheffield team at our upcoming open day so we can help get your university dreams up and running again.
1. Speak to our UC Sheffield tutors about your options
Our amazing tutors will be on hand to speak to you about the huge variety of courses available at UC Sheffield. They'll be able to talk you through our different qualification types, the various subjects we offer and how these can fit into your career plans.
They can also answer any questions about things like assessment methods, entry requirements and how to go about finding work experience. They really are a fountain of knowledge!
2. Discover how we can support you as a student
If things like financing your course, paying for childcare or even just managing your health and well-being as a university student have been holding you back from applying, we can help you get the support you need.
Our Student Support Team will be available during the open day to speak to you about any worries or concerns you might have, including:
- Applying for a student loan to cover your tuition fees
- Whether you’re eligible for additional funding (such as the HE Student Bursary or Disabled Students Allowance)
- Accessing funding for childcare
- How we can support you with your academic studies, mental health and overall well-being
3. Submit your application on the night
The great news is that even though the UCAS application deadline may have passed, you can still apply directly to UC Sheffield! No application fees, no lengthy personal statement, just a simple application form that you can complete then and there, with the support and guidance of our expert staff.
