What is Clearing?
Clearing is how universities and colleges fill places they still have left available on their courses, and it can be a brilliant tool for anyone who's had a change of plan, didn't quite meet their grades or decided to apply late in the process.
How to use our Clearing Call-back scheme
Traditionally, Clearing involves you doing all the leg-work and calling round any universities that you want to apply to, but with our Clearing Call-back system all you have to do is give us your details and we will call you back within 1 hour to discuss your application!
Once you've explored our Clearing vacancies and decided on the course that's right for you, fill in our contact form and we'll do the rest.

Completing your Clearing application
Once you've decided on a course and discussed this option with someone from our UC Sheffield team there's just a few steps you'll need to take to make this a reality.
If you already have an existing UCAS application, make sure to decline any offers you may be holding
If you haven't applied yet, make sure to start a UCAS application before moving on to the next step
Once we've agreed an offer with you over the phone, you can add your choice to your UCAS application by clicking "Add Clearing choice"*. This counts as you accepting the offer
Our Admissions Team will do all the necessary checks and confirm everything on our end so - this will show as an acceptance on your 'Choices' page in your application
As soon as everything is confirmed, don't forget to sort out any student loans, additional support or apply for student accommodation if needed
Our Admissions Team will be in touch to invite you to an enrolment appointment - this is where you officially become a student at UC Sheffield and collect your timetable and student ID
*You can add your choice in your UCAS Hub from 13:00 (UK time) on Thursday 13th August
